The Profile tab is the first thing in Settings — it controls how you appear across channels and DMs in this workspace.

What you can change

  • Avatar — click the tile to upload a square image. The picker lets you crop before saving.
  • First name + Last name — your display name. Global across every workspace you belong to.
  • Handle — your @handle for this workspace specifically. Two workspaces can share the same handle (the uniqueness check is per-workspace), so you can be @ada in one workspace and @ada-lovelace in another.
  • Email — read-only. Surfaced near your avatar so you can confirm which account is signed in.
Reload checks handle availability live as you type. A green message confirms it’s free; a red one explains why it’s taken. Click Save changes. First/last name + avatar PATCH globally; the handle PATCHes only on this workspace. Both saves happen together when both are dirty.

Sign out of this device

At the bottom of the Profile tab there’s a This device card with a single action:
Sign out of this device Sign out of just this device. For password changes, MFA, linked accounts, and the full device list, use Settings → Security and Settings → Sessions.
Clicking the Sign out of this device button:
  1. Best-effort tells the server to revoke this device’s session.
  2. Tears down local state in the app.
  3. Drops you back to the sign-in screen.
For every other account control — password, two-factor, linked Google/Microsoft/SSO, viewing or revoking your sessions on other devices — see Security and sessions.
