Workspace roles
Reload has four workspace-level roles. Each role is a superset of the one below it.| Role | What it can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything. Created automatically when the workspace was provisioned. There’s always at least one. |
| Admin | Manage members, channels, teams, billing, workspace settings. Almost everything an owner can do — except transfer or delete the workspace. |
| Member | Day-to-day use. Create channels (subject to plan cap), join public channels, post messages, create tasks, capture memories. |
| Guest | Limited — designed for outside contributors. Sees only the channels they’ve been explicitly added to. |
The Members tab
Two sub-tabs:- Members — the roster. Display name,
@handle, role chip per row. Search filters server-side as you type (200ms debounce). The list infinite-scrolls. - Pending invites — open invitations that haven’t been claimed yet.
Inviting members
Click Invite member at the top right. The modal has:- Email — where the invite goes.
- Role — Admin, Member, or Guest. You can’t invite someone directly as Owner.
- Teams (optional, multi-select) — pick one or more teams to add this member to on accept. Their channel-role grants from those teams kick in immediately.
Pending invites
The Pending invites sub-tab lists every open invitation. Per-row actions:- Copy link — clipboard the invite link so you can share it manually.
- Resend — fire the invite email again (a quick confirm prevents accidental double-sends).
- Revoke — cancel the invite. The link stops working immediately.
Seat-cap banner
If your plan’s seat limit is full when you open the invite modal, you’ll see an inline banner with your current usage and an Upgrade plan button — clicking it jumps to the Billing tab to pick a higher tier. See Plans for the per-tier seat caps.Removing or changing roles
In-app member role changes and removals are coming in a follow-up. For now, contact support@reload.chat to remove a member or change their role.Where to next
